The Ba Son Bridge is a defining feature of the modern Ho Chi Minh City skyline. As a cable-stayed bridge, its design serves both a functional purpose—facilitating the city’s eastward expansion—and an aesthetic one, acting as a “gateway” monument that mirrors the silhouette of a sail or a musical instrument.

The Thủ Thiêm 2 Bridge (officially renamed Ba Son Bridge) connects the historic District 1 waterfront with the developing Thủ Thiêm New Urban Area in District 2. This site serves as the city’s primary visual link between its colonial past and its high-tech future.
