Guangzhou, historically known as Canton, is a city where 2,200 years of history intersect with a high-density, futuristic urban landscape. From a photography and design perspective, the city offers a dramatic contrast between traditional Cantonese heritage and “cyberpunk” mega-structures.

Guangzhou is a major port city situated on the Pearl River in southern China, approximately 120 km (75 miles) north-northwest of Hong Kong. As the capital of Guangdong Province, it serves as the central hub of the Pearl River Delta, one of the world’s most populous and economically active metropolitan areas.
