Description
An Auro Falls clay relief, handmade in metallic finish, depicting a towering waterfall descending through the heart of a high-rise urban sprawl.
Tower blocks, industrial architecture and tropical vegetation are pressed into the clay in intricate layered relief, the waterfall carved as a clean vertical break through the density of the city around it. Traces of gold run through the metallic finish, catching along the fall of water and the upper edges of the buildings, giving the piece a raw, industrial warmth. At 20x20cm it displays well on a shelf or ledge without requiring fixings.
The piece sits in the same territory as the Kata District series, a city where organic and synthetic elements compete for space. Here the waterfall reads as something older than the architecture surrounding it, a natural force the city has built around rather than displaced.
An original handmade clay sculpture, one of a kind, 20x20cm.
Material: Air-dry clay, sealed with Liquitex Matte Medium Dimensions: 20 x 20 x 1.5cm Care: Keep dry. Avoid direct sunlight and temperature extremes. Decorative only.
