Description
A Kata Street clay relief, handmade in iridescent finish, depicting a street-level view of a cyberpunk urban block, massive kanji characters dominating the upper slab above a cramped storefront and withered tree.
The composition is weighted heavily upward, the bold relief of the script pressing down on the finer architectural detail below, ladders, signage and bare branches worked into the lower half with careful precision. The iridescent finish shifts between bronze and gold across the raised surfaces, giving the worn urban textures an unexpected warmth. At 20x20cm it displays well on a shelf or ledge without requiring fixings.
Where Kata District captures the full sweep of the sprawl, Kata Street is ground level, the scale of the signage overhead making the human elements feel small and pressured. Industrial decay and ancient script occupy the same space without resolution.
An original handmade clay sculpture, one of a kind, 20x20cm.
