Description
A Metro Falls clay relief, handmade in silver, depicting a cascading waterfall threading through a dense cityscape of tower blocks, industrial structures and overgrown palm vegetation.
The composition divides vertically, water on one side, architecture on the other, both pressed with equal detail into the compact slab surface. The silver finish runs cold across the hard edges of the buildings and warm across the organic forms of the foliage and falling water, the contrast between natural and constructed elements reading clearly even at this scale. At 10x10cm it suits a desk, narrow shelf or window ledge without requiring fixings.
The piece sits in the same territory as Auro Falls, a city where water persists despite the concrete built around it. At 10x10cm the compression of that conflict into a small surface gives it a different quality, dense and pressured rather than monumental.
An original handmade clay sculpture, one of a kind, 10x10cm.
