ABYSSAL VEIN Coin [ABV A01] – Handmade Clay, Special, Limited Edition, 27mm

Description

Cast from a dark clay base and finished in a Special Blue/Gold Iridescent, the ABYSSAL VEIN handmade clay coin shifts between deep ocean blue and molten gold depending on how light strikes the surface.

The front carries a large geometric mark relief – a square frame with vertical bar elements and angular letterforms pressed deep into the clay, the recessed channels collecting dense gold pigment while the raised ground holds the blue iridescent wash. The contrast reads almost like inlaid metal against a mineral surface. The reverse is unrelieved texture – no marks, no focal point – just a heavily worked clay ground saturated with blue iridescent pigment that pools and scatters unevenly across the surface, brighter at the peaks and darker in the hollows, suggesting something between volcanic rock and deep-sea floor.
