Description

Warm brown-metal clay finished with layered gold and blue mica gives the AURIC SEAM handmade clay coin a mineral depth that shifts between amber and cold blue depending on where the light falls.

The front carries a large composite Japanese stamp pressed deep into the clay – a squared central form flanked by vertical stroke columns above and angular extensions below, the holographic mica pooling in the pressed channels in concentrated veins of gold and blue. The surrounding clay ground holds the warm brown-metal tone with a dry, granular texture, the mica scatter catching irregularly across the unworked surface. The back is open raw ground, the same warm finish spreading across the full face with holographic flicker distributed unevenly, no relief, no mark.
