Description

This CARBON SHARD handmade clay coin features a heavy charcoal finish, where the natural terracotta base has been almost entirely overtaken by deep, soot-toned carbonization. The aesthetic is one of a scorched, volcanic relic, with the matte black surface highlighting the granular, grit-flecked texture of the material.

The obverse is centered by a Japanese hanko stamp featuring sharp, geometric linework, framed by a series of repeating radial notches. On the reverse, the piece maintains a raw, intensely pitted character and carries the hand-engraved artist mark cut directly into the darkened clay.
