Description

CELLAR-9 is a CELLAR-9 handmade clay coin pressed in Terracotta, its face packed with a repeating radial pattern of overlapping disc forms that leave no surface unclaimed.

Each disc carries a small gridded square at its centre, ringed by clusters of raised cell-like nodes, the whole arrangement rotating outward from a dark central void where the discs converge. The relief is deep enough that the recessed channels read near-black against the warm clay, creating a strong graphic contrast despite the absence of any applied pigment. The reverse carries the Japanese artist mark stamp pressed into a more open ground – terracotta surface marked by natural clay variation and dark deposits that gather at the edges, a quieter counterpoint to the density of the front.

Supplied in Lighthouse coin capsules with acrylic display stands.
