Description

Finished in a dense metallic pigment over dark clay, the DARK OXIDE handmade clay coin has the weight and surface character of aged industrial metal – a browning, oxidised ground shot through with holographic spectral shift.

The front carries a single large Japanese stamp character filling the face: squared, geometric, built from horizontal strokes and angular extensions pressed cleanly into the clay. The holographic finish saturates the raised ridges with arcs of silver, gold and green while the recessed channels hold the dark metallic brown as near-black shadow. The reverse is open raw ground – the same oxidised metal tone spreading unevenly across the surface with scattered holographic pigment and a teal bleed at the lower edge. The hand-engraved artist mark sits lightly pressed at the centre.
