GILDED STRATA Coin [GLS G01] – Handmade Clay, Gold/Holographic, Limited Edition, 27mm

Description

Dense gold mica saturates the surface of the GILDED STRATA handmade clay coin, a blue and violet holographic shift running beneath it and pulling the finish between warm and cold depending on the angle.

The front carries the composite Japanese stamp pressed firmly into the gold-saturated clay – squared central form, vertical stroke columns and angular lower extensions, the pressed channels cutting through the gold ground to expose darker clay beneath while the surrounding surface holds the mica in an almost continuous metallic sheet. The back breaks from the clean stamp register entirely: an irregular terrain of raised and pressed clay forms a landscape-like surface, gold and silver holographic pigment pooling across the peaks and hollows in uneven sweeps, the dark clay ground visible in the deeper recesses.
