Description

PELAGO is a PELAGO handmade clay coin finished in Bronze/Iridescent, a warm oxidised bronze surface broken by scattered pink and teal iridescent pigment that clusters differently across each face.

The front is formed around a wide shallow depression with a gridded cross-hatch stamp pressed into its base, the crater well collecting teal iridescent pigment that pools visibly against the darker bronze ground, while pink iridescent particles catch across the outer field in uneven concentrations – densest toward the upper edge, thinning as they approach the rim. The reverse carries the Japanese artist mark on a broadly open bronze ground, the iridescent pigment appearing here as isolated pink flecks distributed at loose intervals across the surface, the mark itself sitting clear of them and reading as a darker impressed form against the metallic field.

Supplied in Lighthouse coin capsules with acrylic display stands.
