Description
This VIOLET CARBON handmade clay coin features a high-chroma, iridescent violet patina over a deep charcoal base. The aesthetic is that of a “glitch” relic or a cosmic artifact, where the shifting metallic purple highlights break across a heavily carbonized, matte black surface.
The obverse displays a central Japanese hanko stamp surrounded by eight radiating floral segments, with the violet pigment concentrated in the deep relief of the pressed character. On the reverse, the piece maintains a raw, intensely pitted character and carries the hand-engraved artist mark cut into the darkened material.
Supplied in Lighthouse coin capsules with acrylic display stands.
